A committee under the chairmanship of the late Myles Murphy
working with designers and builders completed the new clubhouse
in 1981. It was officially opened by the then captain Mr. Hugh O'Donnell in Dec 1981.
It was large enough for the membership at the time but in the mid
nineties a new committee was formed under the chairmanship of
Seamus Hanley to renovate and extend the building to it’s present
size. The renovated clubhouse was officially opened by Jack Lynch,
President of The Golfing Union of Ireland, in June 1998.
The facilities include:-
Men’s and Ladies locker/dressing rooms with shower and toilet facilities
General Manager’s office and clerical staff area
Fully equipped Pro-Shop
Two Fully licensed Bars
Restaurant capable of catering for up to 150 persons
Board room available to outside groups
The extended clubhouse bar offers a panoramic view over the Shannon
Estuary. The driving range and the practice putting green are situated
beside the clubhouse with the putting green directly in front of the
glass fronted main bar.
The glass panelled restaurant overlooks the first tee and the
eighteenth green adding to the relaxed and friendly
atmosphere apparent in the restaurant and bar areas.
